The pots are hand-made employing the same techniques and designs used more than 3000 years ago by the Minoans. The clay has a high mineral content which results in a beautiful light sand colour as well durability and strength.
These clay pots from Crete will age beautifully. They will slowly release mineral salts that adds to their individuality. With time moss and algae will colonize the pot. This is part of the natural ageing process for a clay pot. If weathered for many years a beautifully aged patina will evolve. |
